SDGs

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership.
NCTU expects to contribute not only to our local communities but also to the global community. In order to accelerate our contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), NCTU instills our graduates with a well-rounded education and global awareness.

The International College of Semiconductor Technology (ICST) was founded as the first of its kind in 2015 to nurture cross-disciplinary talents with global mobility for the semiconductor industry. The College targets at “leading the industry with academy development, making Taiwan a leader in international semiconductor technology and guiding Taiwan to establish a key position in the emerging technology industry”. The ultimate goal to shape National Chiao Tung University as a “Great University” where innovation is nurtured. A progressing, world-class semiconductor research and development center and a new cradle for cultivating international semiconductor technology talents.
